In 2009, Karan became a co-founder and CTO of 24/7 Software,which has grown to become a leading operations management SAAS platform in use by 450+ customers worldwide, including over 85% of professional sports facilities and stadiums (NFL, MLB, NBA). In this role, Karan built a 105+-member globally distributed technology organization from the ground up. The company was acquired in 2017 by a Silicon Valley private equity firm and Karan was retained as CTO under the company’s new ownership. Since that time, the company has gone on to achieving 3x growth.
At age 16, Karan wrote his first commercial software while living in India, using his revenues to fund his college education at Nagpur University. He founded Computing Objectives in 2006, which grew to $1M annual revenue and 30 employees across offices in India and Philadelphia.
Karan has extensive experience leading M&A due diligence efforts for 24/7 Software, and he is currently an angel investor with the South Florida-based New World Angels. His community involvement includes serving as a mentor for Florida Atlantic University’s Tech Runway program for early-stage startups and as a past judge for Consumer Electronic Show (Las Vegas), The Stevie Awards, the Advanced Imaging Society Technology Awards, and the The University of Pennsylvania’s PennApps Hackathon.
